Mat­thi­as Kaltofen

Matthias Kaltofen was born in Dresden in 1971. He trained as a machine and plant fitter and studied law at the Technical University of Dresden from 1996. Matthias Kaltofen was admitted to the bar in 2004. He has held the title of ‘Specialist lawyer for tenancy and residential property law’ since 2008. He joined the law firm BSKP in 2011. Matthias Kaltofen has also been a partner and one of the managing partners of BSKP since 2020.

Matthias Kaltofen works in the field of real estate law, including property law, commercial tenancy law and residential tenancy law. He advises and represents his clients primarily in commercial tenancy law in the drafting and structuring of contracts relating to real estate, in particular purchase and rental agreements. He also specialises in advising on real estate transactions. Transaction-related advice includes the preparation of due diligence reports on real estate and real estate portfolios, the subsequent selection of the transaction structure, the drafting of contracts and the subsequent handling of the transaction process, both when purchasing and selling the property or real estate portfolio. Matthias Kaltofen regularly gives lectures on selected topics of commercial tenancy law.
