Tho­mas Lachera

Thomas Lachera was born in 1976 in Sangerhausen. After training as a tax clerk, he studied business administration at the University of Leipzig, specialising in taxation, insurance and real estate management. Then he worked as a tax consulting assistant and after passing his professional exam in 2008 as a tax consultant in the "Public Services" department at Ernst & Young in Stuttgart. There he mainly advised the public sector and non-profit corporations. From 2009 to 2018, Thomas Lachera worked as a tax consultant and associate partner at a medium-sized auditing and tax consulting firm in Stuttgart. There he took over the technical management of the sales tax consulting division. From 2016 to 2018, Mr. Lachera was Chairman of the VAT Group at Kreston International, an international network of auditors and tax consultants.

Thomas Lachera lectured for many years on national and international VAT law at the Wirtschaftsverband Industrieller Unternehmen Baden e. V. in Freiburg and Baden-Baden. In January 2019 Thomas Lachera joined BSKP.
