Vita

Johann Ostermiller was born in Chemnitz in 1998 and grew up there. In 2016, he moved to Leipzig to study law at the University of Leipzig. After just two semesters, he became a student assistant at the Chair of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law, Criminology, Juvenile Criminal Law and Correctional Law. He completed his law degree in 2021. Mr. Ostermiller was employed as a research assistant at the Hessian University of Applied Sciences for Police and Administration (HfPV) between his studies and his legal clerkship.

Mr. Ostermiller then returned to his home town. There he completed his legal clerkship at the Chemnitz Regional Court. During his legal clerkship, he dealt with a wide range of topics relating to commercial and corporate law as well as employment law. Mr. Ostermiller went to the United Arab Emirates for the elective part of his legal clerkship, where he focused on commercial and corporate law. In doing so, he increasingly came into contact with national and international arbitration regulations.

At the end of 2023, he successfully completed his legal clerkship with the second state examination and joined BSKP in 2024.
