Manuela Sommer was born in 1972 in Elbingerode. She studied business administration at the University of Magdeburg specializing in taxation and controlling. Subsequently, she worked as an exam assistant at smaller accounting and tax consulting firms. After passing the tax consultant exam, she worked for several years as a branch manager at a tax consulting firm, since 2006 as a tax consultant in the Magdeburg branch of Dr. Ing. Ott Audit Tax GmbH.
